ISRO Student Program for COSPAR 2012
The ISRO sponsorship aims at creating awareness about space in general and about the ISRO initiatives and the global issues in particular. The participation would give Indian students an International exposure and help them as budding scientists by engaging them in issues related to space sciences and technology. The selection will be made from amongst the target group of research students at PhD level engaged in Space Science and Space Science related areas.
The sponsorship will cover Registration fees, Travel and Lodging/Boarding.
1. Eligibility for students of Indian Universities
- Participation will be restricted to PhD students of Indian universities.
- Students pursuing their PhD degree on topics like Space Sciences, Astronomy, Astrophysics, Planetary Science, Astrobiology, Atmospheric Sciences etc are eligible to apply. Students engaged in associated disciplines will also be considered provided there is a match with scientific themes / topics for COSPAR 2012. Please consult the COSPAR website for this and also to select the sessions of interest for participation.
- Student should be below 35 years of age as on 1st July 2012.
2. Selection Process for students of Indian Universities
- All eligible students have to fill up an application form downloadable through local website of COSPAR 2012
- One additional self attested passport size photograph should be enclosed
- The duly filled application form should be signed by the Student and endorsed by Student's Supervising Guide giving specific recommendation for participation, forwarded through Head of the department (*Head of the Department may nominate maximum of two Research Students from each University ) should reach the following address on or before 15th March 2012:
