Assembly Venue

The 39th COSPAR Scientific Assembly will take place from 14 – 22 July 2012 at Narayana Murthy Centre of Excellence (Infosys Training Centre), Mysore, Karnataka, India.

The Narayana Murthy Centre of Excellence (Infosys Training Centre)  is a high-tech campus located amidst the sprawling meadows in the suburbs of Mysore.  The campus is the world's largest corporate training facility for IT professionals.

Infosys Training Centre

The masterfully designed Global Education Center – 2 (GEC-2), has numerous session halls, with ultra modern facilities blended with state-of-the-art interiors, spacious seating, and excellent acoustics.  The guestrooms are laid out to provide comfort, relaxation and a peaceful ambience.

The Center is all set to support and provide a delightful experience to all the participants during the Assembly.

Instructions

  1. Assembly participants have to wear their COSPAR 2012 ID card at all time when inside the Infosys campus.  Access is by ID card only.
  2. Participants are not allowed to carry/ consume alcoholic beverages inside the campus.
  3. Smoking is allowed only at the designated smoking zones.

Audio-visual equipment

All session rooms have digital projection facility, screens, pointer and podium with mike and collar mikes.  Presentations must be uploaded to the server in the speaker-ready room well in advance of the session.  Instructions for uploading presentations will be posted on the website in due course of time.

Weather

During the month of July, the maximum and minimum temperature would be around 28.4 oC and 20.0 oC respectively.  The daily average precipitation would be 3.8mm.

Time zone 
Mysore is located in the South Asia Time Zone GMT + 05:30 Hrs

Food
The centres is equipped with three food courts and floating restaurant serving nutritious and tasty delicacies from ethnic Indian culinary to continental cuisine.

Internet Lounge
A wired Internet zone has been reserved for all registered assembly participants to access and download selected copies of Assembly abstracts or to send and retrieve e-mails.  The Internet zone will be open everyday during Assembly hours.

A WiFi Zone will be available in a designated area on the ground floor of Global Education Centre (GEC-2).  It will be free of charge for full and student participants, accredited press and exhibitors.

Information desk
A help desk will be available at the GEC-2 entrance to provide information and assistance to participants.  A help desk is also planned in the registration area.
